Hungering Mass Ornament

A bauble made of a clustered mass of hungry eyes and mouths, petrified and bound in urethane resin. These amalgamations are most mysterious creatures, as none can yet claim to have discovered the locations or methods of their birth. What is known is steeped in conjecture and hearsay, but all agree that even the smallest of hungering masses can become a ceaseless terror if their growth and hunger are left unchecked. 

When they are still small, hungering masses stay out of sight while feeding, and are often responsible for trinkets, scraps of food, or even the odd house pet vanishing seemingly into thin air. But as they consume, they grow, eventually turning their many pulsating eyes to ever larger prey. How long this process can take is anyone's guess, as those who learn have not been known to survive the discovery.

Rendered harmless within the confines of its petrification, this ornament can be hung as decoration for any festive event, and is said to be a protective charm against belongings or loved ones going missing in the night. Do not tempt the mass by gazing too long into its many eyes and maws however, lest you rekindle its hunger once more...
